How we work at Catprints and Signs
We are based in Paarl and work across Wellington and the wider Boland, so our days are shaped by real production needs, tight turnarounds and the kind of service local clients expect. Some days are about artwork checks and reprints, other days are about wrapping vehicles, fitting signs or preparing banners for a shop opening or event. Load-shedding, weather and municipal requirements all play a part in the work, so practical thinking matters as much as skill.
People who fit in here are organised, steady under pressure and ready to do proper hands on work. We like team members who take pride in neat finishes, safe working and clear communication with clients and colleagues.
Roles we hire for
We do not keep a public vacancy list here, but we do regularly look for people with experience or interest in print, signs and customer service. Depending on the needs of the business, roles may involve artwork setup, wide format printing, sign fabrication, installation, sales support or vehicle graphics.
- Studio and prepress work such as artwork checks, layout prep and file corrections
- Wide format printing and finishing, including lamination and board mounting
- Sign making, assembly and installation work on site
- Vehicle wrap preparation, fitment and aftercare
- Client care, quoting support and job updates
What helps your application stand out
We value people who can show up on time, work cleanly and keep a steady pace through busy weeks. If you have experience with print finishing, vinyl cutting, measuring, installation or customer service, tell us clearly. If you are new to the trade but learn fast and can follow instructions carefully, that can count too.
- Previous print, signage or fabrication experience
- Good measuring and practical problem solving skills
- Comfort with working on ladders, vehicles or larger boards
- Basic computer confidence for artwork or admin tasks
- A reliable attitude and willingness to learn
Why people stay with us
Our work is varied and local, which means you get to see the result of your effort on shopfronts, vehicles, windows and walls across Paarl, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Worcester, Malmesbury and nearby towns. It is satisfying work when a banner goes up on time or a vehicle leaves looking sharp and professional.
We also keep things practical. People need clear instructions, proper tools and a team that backs each other up when the pressure is on. That makes the day run better, and it helps deliver a better result for clients.
How to apply
If you want to work with us, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page and mention the kind of role you are interested in. If you have a portfolio, photos of past work, or a short note about your experience, include that as well. We review applications as needs arise and will contact suitable candidates directly.
Please make sure your contact details are current. A clear CV helps us see your experience quickly, so keep it simple and accurate.
Working in the Boland print and sign trade
Jobs in this field are not only about making things look good. They also need careful setup, safe handling and reliable follow through. From contra-vision and magnets to safety signs and light boxes, each job has its own requirements and deadlines. If you like practical work and can handle changing priorities, this can be a solid place to build your experience.
We serve businesses, riders and drivers across the Boland, so our team needs to stay flexible and focused. That mix of tasks keeps the work interesting, and no two weeks are quite the same.
